After undergoing renovations in 2023, Kapadokus Termal Resort, one of the oldest thermal facilities in the region, is set to be operated under the management agreement with Continent Worldwide Hotels, and will be rebranded as Continent Kapadokus Thermal Spa & Wellness, scheduled to open in April 2024.
The newly named Continent Kapadokus Thermal Spa & Wellness will feature 100 suites and standard rooms, thermal pools, an outdoor pool, and will introduce additional services such as a SPA, sauna, hammam, healthy living facilities, physiotherapy, Ayurvedic cuisine, and three new à la carte restaurants. Located just one hour away from Nevşehir city center and the airport, the hotel is also conveniently close to attractions such as Ihlara Valley (7 km), Selime Cathedral (3 km), Derinkuyu Underground City (53 km), and Göreme National Park (81 km).
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Ahmet Yaşar, the owner of IHLARA EMLAK DAYANIKLI TÜKETİM MALZEMELERİ PAZARLAMA İNŞAAT TURİZM SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, and also a former member of the Turkish Parliament, along with his daughter and CEO of the group, Ms. Gülfem Yaşar Özberk, and his son Mr. Ahmet Cemal Yaşar, jointly stated: "We have been investing in the tourism and hospitality sector for many years. Our decision to partner with a brand that will elevate our Kapadokus Termal Hotel to the next level has long been in the making. Despite being a local establishment, we have been exploring partnerships with both domestic and international brands. Our paths crossed with Continent Worldwide, which despite being a local company, has international activities. Following our discussions, we decided to sign a management agreement to collaborate." Mr. Ahmet Yaşar continued: "As a family, we have been providing services in our hometown of Aksaray for many years, and we will continue to do so. The scarcity of hotels and tourist facilities in the region is a major drawback. The development of the region in terms of tourism is of great importance to us. With our facility, we have taken this step, and we hope to lead the way for further investments in the future. We sincerely wish for the ongoing development of the Ihlara Valley, Mount Hasan, and many other natural beauties in the Aksaray – Nevşehir axis."
Kemal Karataş, Country Operations and Franchise Development Director of Continent Worldwide Hotels, expressed confidence in the group's rapid growth both domestically and internationally, stating: "With several new agreements in progress domestically, our group will soon reach the position it deserves. As previously stated, we have three hotels in Istanbul and ongoing construction projects in Ankara, Çanakkale, Biga, Bursa, Kayseri, Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Şanlıurfa. In addition to the hotels set to open in 2024, we are also engaged in new negotiations. Our investor-friendly approach and efforts to keep national capital within the country, along with the support provided to domestic hotel companies who share our values, continue with great synergy."
Ethem Zagikyan, Chairman of Continent Worldwide Hotels, expressed gratitude to each investor who played a significant role in the company's growth, especially thanking Mr. Ahmet Yaşar and his family for entrusting them with this beautiful facility and taking the first step towards a long-term relationship through the management agreement. Zagikyan concluded: "I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Ahmet Yaşar and his family for trusting us with this beautiful facility and taking the first step towards a long-term relationship through the management agreement. I believe that Continent Kapadokus Thermal Spa & Wellness, which we expect to become one of the region's most popular hotels in a short period, will be a successful venture."
